Tips on this curly hair?

So, I'm new and I've been trying to draw curly hair. Spoilers alert, this project isn't going too well despite the simplicity. Any help/tips?

Hey! What you made looks cute so far. I'm not an expert in pixel art but I can say that adding more shades to the hair and adding curly hair strands can help to show the curly hair better.
