I had one of my hands lock up this morning while a friend of mine (and I, but mostly him...) carried a couch halfway across manhattan (Delancey and FDR to 24th and 3rd).
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

NDS Homebrew popped up this week, made for pixel art.

It is worth the try if you own a homebrew cart - has a grid when zoomed in and such so it's not so hard  :y:

Neh, it's not missing anything. It's done for aesthetic pleasure. That, or they'll place a porn ad in it's place, till a newsworthy, or post-worthy subject comes along...I got my money on the pornz, though.

so my wallet got stolen April 9th, and i couldn't replace anything for a while (finally got access to my bank account TODAY) because i had no documents, and i was thinking about how like, everyone was good and let/gave me food and shit over the last month, so i decided to get this homeless guy a coffee and we sat down and got to talking just on the sidewalk on 14th and starbucks and this girl comes by, who must have been parsons and like, starts to take his picture and he's like what the are you doing? and she's like, oh, is it alright if i take your picture? and he's like no that's fine, but not like that and he starts giving her all this shit about the way she's got the camera setup and asking what shes shooting on and whether shes checked the light and everything and if her film speed was bler bler and it turns out he's a photo journalist that lost his house because his wife died and he couldn't pay the rent which sent his credit to hell and then she got scared and just sorta...left? and he's like "what's sad is that she probably doesn't realize that the moment there, where two people realize they have something in common, is actually a more beautiful than any of those boring old shots of homeless people that everyone takes."

thought i'd share, as it made me realize (again) what children we all are (my friends and I).

on an unrelated note, does anybody keep up with celebrity gossip the way I don't ?  well if you do, you might know that Paris Hilton had a poor neglected cat that was taken away because she abandoned it at the vet.  Three months later, this wonderful cat has found a home, in my new apartment.  I'm just finalizing the paperwork with my friend jordan's mom (whose shelter did the rescuing) and will be picking up little Prada from the airport when she comes to visit her daughter next week.

Homeless people.. saw a lot in New York and Vegas, most of them seemed like very abusive crackheads so I didn't exactly sit down for a coffee with one of em.
But as we got to less tourist infested states they seemed to get less and less 'homeless' and more like beggers.. Like they might have a place to sleep, looked pretty clean.
But it was Indiana, apparently the PCP capital of USA... so I didn't drop any change.

Paris Hiltons cat?
two things I definitely don't care for :P (I know we've already established pixelation is a very pro cat forum)
That's enough of a segue, today I took my dog to the park for some fetch
After about 5 minutes she starts dragging her back legs.

So I'm thinking she's got a cramp or something, but on the way back she keeps falling down :(
I was talking to an old guy who had his dog too and he was telling me about how lab's will just keep running even though they should rest, just like they'll keep eating even if they're full.
So I carried her to the nearby vet to make sure everything was alright, at first they thought she might have had a seizure or a stroke, but since it was so gradual and she remained full conscious it didn't fit.
She's fine now, they said to keep an eye on her while she's exercising so I'll take her to the beach soon, she runs for miles there... even though I just washed her today :-\

I'm thinking she just had very little energy, she lost 3kilos while we were away, she might have not been eating coz we weren't around.. so hopefully she was just running on empty

there are a lot of those types, as well as people with mental disabilities, but the scariest ones to me still are the ones like this photographer fellow, the stone-cold-sober type that's highly educated, perfectly articulate, and whose only difference from the people you'd normally have coffee with is that life sent them some crazy curveballs.

About the dog, my dog chris was doing that a bit when she had a worm, as it was draining a lot.  If the problem persists and she continues to lose weight, you might as your vet about that (and bring stool samples just in case).  I don't know how common this is but it's what my dog had.

Tell her to make sure it's been properly disinfected!

You said it's a lab? My folks have had about 3 laboradors in my lifetime. All of them once they got older started doing the leg-dragging thing, but it was the most severe with their current dog. According to their vet, Labs are prone to hip problems because they have been over bred (like many breeds unfortunately, it's heartbreaking that breeders care more about the animals' appearance then their health)  :( With my parents' dog we just have to be careful now not to let her over-exert herself when she's getting her exercise. 'Cuz yeah like the random old guy said, labs will literally run themselves to death if you let them. (My childhood dog would try to swim in icy rivers in the middle of January) They are born with about 90 percent enthusiasm and 10 percent common sense.

If your dog also lost weight though maybe she was just weak from a lack of energy. Here's hopin'
