I find explicitly discriminatory or racist things hilarious.

I'm not racist or discriminatory by credo, however I wouldn't hesitate to make a gay joke. I view all groups as equal, however some stuff is too outrageous to pass up.  :)

It must be really nice to be a straight white male and not give a damn about anybody else.

I'm actually a bisexual white male.

I know a lot of gay people as well as black people. None of them seem to care about slurs, and more often than not they are the ones to make them. We're all people. Because you are a minority doesn't mean you should be exempt from having jokes made about you - special treatment like this is the special treatment homophobes and racists give unto these select minorities.

I think you might be opting for political correctness without realizing that the minorities aren't in need of your protection.

I have a high level of empathy for everyone as well - don't go assigning behavioral flaws based on a single post. If something is going too far, it should be stopped, regardless of race or sexual orientation. No one was being harmed by that screenshot. Not even remotely.

I think it's funny how he assumes being a straight white male is like... the best life ever.

insert awkward and politically incorrect joke incorporating "protection"
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

I've never seen the movie, but I think it's a fairly simple issue.

I think the only way I'd find a brokeback mountain nes mockup offensive is if you controlled one of the homophobes, the two main characters of the movie were made to be evil, and/or if the game was called something like "gay bash adventure"
Even then.. I don't think I'd be offended enough to want it removed.

censorship is bad because it doesn't just fulfill the notion of protecting young innocent minds, it cuts off conversation and information.
Even if something is controversial, it's much better for it to be in your face, so whether you like it or not, you have to deal with it.
Especially in a case like this where it's just a nes mockup that only a few dozen people are going to see.. there's really no harm.

i hate political correctness.  i think people should say what they want, whether it be it racist, sexist, or homophobic, as its a matter of opinion and what's the point in free speech if you can't express your opinions.

in my country we can get thrown in jail for racism, how lame is that?  "you can have free speech, just only on certain topics."

and trust the gays to get offended by a GAME-MOCKUP, for gods sake, its a picture.

But such words or pictures can be harmful to little children, and they would grow to think that 'black' or homosexual people are baadd. So I think freedom of speech can and should be limited to prevent this.

If everyone spoke up their mind, alot of people would get wasted.  :(
