Anyway, attempted change of topic: Who likes climbing trees?
I love climbing birch trees. I'm so light that even the smallest of branches can support my weight, at least momentarily, so I can get pretty high up. So much fun.

I made the mistake of shimmying up a spruce tree though. I still have scars on my arms.

I climb trees too. I am not ashamed. whenever there's a tree with low branches nearby, I can't help but climb it. people make fun of me but I tell them it's fun

no one listens  :ouch: they just call me a monkeyboy.

I should probably make a thread for this but I doubt there will be many different and debatable answers to this question. How do you get into the game industry? Actually, it be better for me to ask how YOU got into the game industry. I bet a lot of people are curious how to get a job working with video games and I know a handful of the members her are part of the industry. Any stories, advice and internships would be greatly appreciated. :]

By chance I came across the cd32 intro for the chaos engine (I didn't know about it before). You can watch it on youtube. I think the original worked better.

Modern artists are told that they must create something totally original-or risk being called "derivative".They've been indoctrinated with the concept that bad=good. The effect is always the same: Meaningless primitivism

Meh, I've started using Firefox 3 Beta 4, and I was very pleased, but now I found out that they've implemented smooth image resizing :( I've tried googling for a way to turn it off but I can't find any way of doing so. It's pretty strange how you always get the same reaction when wanting to turn it off, "Why would you want that?". Well gee, why would I want to blur out something that's already lossless...

Anyone else here using FF3? And do you know if it's possible to turn it off?

Yeah the whole vibe of the CD version intro is very Saturday Morning Cartoon-esque. Looks like a combination of left-overs from the original game and a new artist who was trying (and failing) to ape to the style. The narrator had a pretty cool voice though. Sounds like the guy from Earthseige 2.

Well, people can climb vertical poles, at least I can. Unless they're really big. Things like those poles with basketball hoops on top, or smaller street light poles. Pretty much anything I can grab on to with my hands. It's basically the same as those chainclimbers like on Mulan where they hold on to the chains and push with their feet to climb. You don't need a rope or anything if it's a small pole.
