RIPPERS NOT WELCOME

on: December 17, 2007, 12:28:23 am
Salutations,

I was just introduced to this board by Ryona. Already, I am liking it more than the other sprite board I am registered at (which shall remain nameless  :yell: )

In any case, I have several different sprite projects I have been working on, most of which for fangames which may or may never see the light of day. The following are from a Pokémon fangame I have spent time working on, off and on for some time now. The sprite of Red, was literally finished mere minutes ago:

Needless to say, these are all 100% custom. I know there is a lot I still have to work on, as I have only been doing custom pixelart for a few months now. However, I hope someone enjoys them. .

Let me be the first to welcome you, S. This place is filled with helpful people. You'll like it here.  :)

And off topic, sorry for not posting for a long while, everyone. I've been busy, but I do visit once in a while. I just don't think I have anything big worth posting yet. Just alot of little things. heh
Also, I'm a little ashamed that I haven't got much done for my Gameboy project. *feels embarrassed*  :-[

Thankies. I've posted some, and there's some that I haven't yet.

By the way, Very nice sprites. I meant to comment on them, but I forgot. lol
You should post your other stuff too, like the TMNT sprites for the brawler game. Those are sweet.

I think I'll wait until I complete a spritesheet on the TMNT ones before I post. Maybe I'll do a preview first, though.

This is spriter/ripper community talk for 'I drew these myself' right? 'Custom' means 'not from a videogame'?

What is this?

Also, what's with this looking like it was resized and worked over again? Why the mixed resolutions?

You do realise things will not go very well for you, yes? If this is your idea of a joke I'm not very amused.

I am however, somewhat fascinated.

Tell me more about where you're coming from.

Before we have closure, I need to have context.

We shall soon have a second sticky thread that will be more immediate.

But first, I need context. Come back here. Post. Tell us.

I'm really sorry, guys. >.<

I can't believe that my first contribution to Pixelation in a long time resulted in this. I feel so bleh.

I used the sprites from the games as a guide, but I didn't use the actual sprites in my works.

Custom is what is used on sprite boards as "non-rip or edit".

What the deuce is that supposed to mean?

Resizing and working over stuff is what you call "use as a guide" and not using the actual sprites?

Which these are not.

It means that if you do not read the rules and post stuff like this, you will get the deuce banned for a year.
