I want my ants to stand like people. >:
I suppose I could try to add in two more legs...
Okedoke, I'll give him hands.

edit:
How's this, then? :3

You could still have that, just add a small abdomen and give him 4 arms.  :y:

I'm not very keen on the one with 4 legs.

yeah, particularly since in all insects the legs branch every one of them from the thorax  :-[
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

But in the picture Sherman posted, the big ant has the hind legs coming from the back part. o3o;
But uhhh... is there really enough room to add more arms? .__o I'm not so sure...

Hmm, you could have the impression that it only has 2 arms by having the lower arms connect to the upper ones, perhaps holding his wrists or something. May be hard to do on a small scale, and may only be possible with a walking anim (may even work to have his arms doubled in width, until he does some other action where they split). Another idea would be to simply have his other arms hang down... but unfortunately it could cause alot of mess on the sprite. Then there's always making the sprite bigger.. but meh.

Good luck anyhows.  :y:

Ok, I'm just going to critique your actual walkcycle.

Frame 1 is your contact pose. It looks fine, you base your whole walk off of this pose.
Frame 2 is your down pose. You have the body going up instead of down. It also looks off balance.
Frame 3 is your passing pose. I would put the body in the same vertical location as the contact pose here.
Frame 4 is your up pose. You have the body up, good job.
Frame 5 is an extra pose. You should remove this frame.

The rest of the frames are for the other side of the body.

Right now he looks as if he is skipping, is that what you are going for?

The antenna should go down on the passing pose and go up on the extra pose. What is happening is overlapping action, after the body goes down the antenna should still be going down as the body begins to rise. I suggest making the antenna go down after the down pose, and up after the up pose. This will give you a nice overlapping action. It's getting late and I'm tired or I would do an edit. I hope this helps. :y:

Actually, I fixed the walk cycle up a tad but didn't post it yet. :D
Still trying to figure out how to do the arms, is all. @__@
I think I fixed the antennae thing too, not sure.

I made some examples of arms real quick to demostrate how the overlapping action works. I used 7 frames here. Obviously adjust the speed by how fast your character is moving. This speed looks like a fast walk. Notice how the upper arm leads? Notice how the forearm lags behind? Hope this helps some.  :)
