MMF2 help

on: December 01, 2007, 03:11:09 pm
so I'm quite happy, my purchased Multi Media Fusion 2 just arrived!
The problem is as far as I've looked there is almost no tutorials around. This is kind of a problem because apparently this is a big change from game maker or rpg maker xp (haha).
Anyways I am working on making a platformer and if anyone knows any forums (aside from the main mmf2 one) or tutorials this would be a great help!
I've tried googeling but to no avail :(
thanks a bunch!
(I'll be posting a dumb of the graphics soon!)
It's time for racing car video games

I messed a long time with mmf 1 around.
You can simply use tutorials for the older versions(1.5), the difference between mmf2 are nothing to write about.

Congrats on your purchase! MMF can make game creation a very quick process when you know how it works. For platformers in particular, you can have a solid engine set up within a few minutes by using the PMO (Platform Movement Object), which can be downloaded here: http://clickteam.com/eng/bonus.php

And here's an old tutorial I found that covers the basics of how to work it: http://www.create-games.com/article.asp?id=1132

Hopefully that should set you on the right track for now.
