Lookin' good, Lar, but one little thing sticks out like a sore thumb: The light yellow you use while aaing between the green light and ground colors actually looks like it's lighter than the green. It could just be my monitor, but you might want to check it out.

I noticed this very clearly on the monitors at college, but it's much less obvious on my screen at home. I'll fix it though, so no worries. Thanks for the heads up.
In fact, a load of the colours in my mockup seem off using the computers at my college. I was pretty sure my monitor's calibrated properly.

Really cool locust.
Also nice edit Jad, but i don't think her robosuperarm is obvious enough, it took some time for me to realise what it was. Also, the panda isn't cute and fat and jiggly enough!  :yay:

Btw i absolutely loved the video.

lar - i've been having the same troubles day in and day out, even now that i've got it closer there's still a lot of issues with luminence
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

so mine :

i'm trying a new kind of style (no cartoonish this time) with the music : voodoo people (the pendulum remix) made by The Prodigy.

so now it's just a wip...it's a sort of "press the button quckly" for speed and "press the good button" to dodging traps (with kind of arrows I think)

I will put later dead men with blood on the ground for exemple, a speed meter, an arrow to press, traps, etc...

MaDsk8tard: so you made a game of the music video, not the music, as by the video its already interpreted...nice colors.

yea i mean that is not really against the rules, but its not very creative either, i'd rather see YOUR take on that song than some music video guy's

Here's a WIP:

This is inspired by William Basinski's Disintegration Loops 2.1

I'm not sure whether I should shade the trees like the near-left one or keep them minimal like the near-right one. Or whether I should add more colours so that any shading would only be subtle. I was thinking of creating focal blur by leaving the nearer trees aliased and over-antialiasing the furthest trees.

Ooh, finally some music I actually have on my computer!
I'd say shade all the trees minimally, like the one on the right.  Or at least AA them a little bit.  Also I'd say nay to focal blur, because it would harm the sort of "perpetual forest" vibe I get.  The sort of feeling that the forest is the same way, with the same trees, forever.  That perpetuality also matches the music, I think.

One thing I don't get is the sparseness of the trees.  How is the forest so dark when the trees aren't densely packed?  Also it seems like there are more trees in the foreground than in the background, which doesn't make sense if the trees are supposed to be evenly spaced.
