You should animate the different legs and arms separately. right now it looks like he just keeps kicking the same foot forward.

The back leg is kicked too far backwards, the purple front leg is too far forward, the red front leg isn't kicked forward at all.
Also the arms do not transfer smoothly. First the arm goes to the body, then it stretches and inverted for the back side, that's wrong. The arm keeps bent at about the same angle the whole time (just make sure you get the berspective right).

when your walking, do both your feet ever touch the ground at the same time?

imagine your foot going in a circular motion.  then imagine the other foot going in that same circular loop, except in the exact opposite part.

also, this walk lacks bounce.  when people walks, their bodies have an up-down movement at the peak and bottom of the cycle.

the tutorials are in a stickied thread in general discussion.
untz untz untz?

The last frame the lower leg moves for 2 and the upper doesnt move at all ;)
You may wish to capte someone running on video and see that frame by frame.

Here's some links for you to read.

- try this
- Read this here
- and this here
- and possibly this too? here

I've done an edit on your 4 frames... study it... see how I've bent and straightened the leg at key points? you were missing the straight leg kicked out in front... that's a keyframe to any run/walk cycle... if you don't straiten in front then you're NOT STRIDING... oh... and feet are kind of important in a walk anim...

anyway... here it is...

mine>>> <<<< yours

enjoy!

Ehhh… thanks a lot! Those walking explanations are awesome.

Before reading your articles I spend hours walking around my room trying to figure out the best way to make a walking animation…

This is all I could do (a real quick drawing)

The nearest foot never seems to lift.
