i actually like the colors you're using, but the character's pose is a bit weird. it's pretty off balance.
and if you were going for some kind of stance where he's standing on his tip toes (nice term, right?), i would play with maybe bending his knees, and bringing his chest forward a bit more.

Don't use the .JPG file format for pixel art! Instead, try using pixel art friendlier formats, such as .PNG 's.

Try Photobucket if you want, or Imageshack. Use 'em quite a lot. Also, don't try to host .bmp's from either of them, they tend to convert (As far as I know.) it into Satan's file format.
