hmm.. I have been trying to find a solution, but the suggestion you gave me makes this piece more "realistic" and less comic, cartoony.. I mean it doesnt look like a comic hero with all those perfect muscels anymore.. but I like this new piece.. now what you fox think?
But it looks hella better tho.. the stomach..
Em, I've seen comics that had this quality of anatomy. I also always thought "perfect Muscels" were something reminiscent of the comic book world, not the real world.

Guess, that's my mistake. However if you're still wanting a more comic book "sooper perfekt" muscle type feel, than maybe this rough, quick edit could help a smidge:

I must say I'm not a fan of the arm design. If what ever greater force gave him such close characteristics to that of the human being's anatomy, than what's with the immobile claws? I'm guessing these guys don't deal much with grabbing things or use weapons, but use their own claws instead. (it's very possible, like some lizards, or sloths, but just hard for me grasp...to each his own, I guess)
Any hoo, the arms seem estranged from the body now, and there seems to be some made up muscles in the shoulder and bicep region. I'm also not sure if the thing around it's right forearm is something apart of it's skin, or a fabric. Claws seemed kinda' small for me also. They just seem to be sitting there. You gotta' remember, hands are just as important as the face, in creating emotion. Try not to just leave hands in such generic positions, as it's a bad habit many beginning artists tend to overuse due to laziness (including me, tee hee hee...). Legs seem strangely positioned, as well. However, this is still a wip, so I'm guessing you're just focusing on the upper body for now. I guess there are other issues, but most have been addressed. Only last suggestions I'd give, would be to take it easy with the dithering, and sel-out of the tentacles.(whoops, I just noticed your monster has only 3 finger/claws. I mistakenly thought your original piece's right hand was a third claw from his hand...my bad.)
This is still looking good though. I like the design of the swirly space pants...
