First pixel in a while [updated]

on: November 20, 2005, 01:03:38 am

It's a little random, but I'm pretty happy with it. let me know if you have any advice. I had to make something to post when I found this place. I can't believe it took this long to find this place. I am so happy.  ;D

Hey! You! Glad you found it.

Nice piece there, Xio. I especially like the way the neck and arms have those lines coming out of them, like she/he/it was put together with sticks. I also like the colors and the torso. There are only two things I see that I dislike:
1. The "hair" looks a bit too randomly directed.
-and-
2. The legs...WTF is up with the legs?

The way it's right arm (our left) is, it looks like it should be leaning on something, like a tree stump. Yeah, add a BG to this. Foresty and dark, with fairies and fairys and faeries galore...and a bubbling brook...brooks are always nice...
Gah, I've lost my caravan of thought.

Anyway, good to have ya back, Xio.

Very nice.
Ub3r t3h stylized!!11!1!!!
Those branches are wild, man...Nice faeiries. I love that little ridge goind down the trunk of the tree to the roots. Just one thing I noticed: the character is thickly (and very effectively) outlined in black, whereas the BG has nothing of the likes. Also, I think it might benefit the composition of the pic if you had the person either more to the right of the image or facing the other way.

Whoops - just one more thing... the left side of the tree has a dark purplish, whereas the right side is blue...? What's up with that?

Anyway, nice piece. I 'specially like your dithering. Very unique.
