While he's at it, I'd also like to know if Game Gear used a stretched (multiples of 17) or non stretched (multiples of 16) based palette, or something completely different.

I ignored the optional palette restrictions, because they confused me.  :D  10 colors.  Since it's a limited color count, I'd need to go back and optimize it, because I just color-picked based on need for this scene.

This would be a simple mystery game with arrow key movement and point-and-click interaction with various story elements.  An emphasis on mood would be critical.  For example, in this part of the game, you have no flashlight, and you're walking through the woods until you come upon this scene.  That's all I have for now.

Awesome, Faktablad.  You've done a lot with a little there.

ditto, VERY nice!!  It implies so much...though the text is a *bit* superfluous, as its quite obvious that the headlights are still working :P  maybe say something like "the hood is still warm" or "you hear footsteps" or something?

Yeah, the next line would be "This didn't happen too long ago..." or maybe just "Holy shit".

But the idea for this scene, which I think would be cool, is not being able to see your character at all.  You move and you see the background move and nothing else up until this scene.

Since you called, I am here.
 Maximum sprites: 64
 Sprite size: 8x8 or 8x16

I have an odd idea for my entry, I hope I finish it.

WIP. Been in an Amiga-ish mood lately.

WIP2. Decided against the freakishly large head.

WIP3. Rendered her chainsaw.

Here's mine so far. I went with multiples of 16 for the palette. I still need to work on the tiles a bit, like making the corners more rounded. I also want to add a tree or something like that.

Edit: Now the sprites should all be using the same 16 color palette.
