I'd be interested to see the component parts that these are built from?

Any chance of a screen dump?

Looks pretty rad. reminds me of that game Metal Warriors.

Concerning the back legs and arms, et cetera; You shouldn't reduce the opacity or luminosity of all the colors systematically to make the leg or arm appear further from the viewer, instead, change the huge a little bit, maybe colder, like adding a little blue, sublty, and making it darker, with less contrast. Right now it looks like you pasted the same leg behind the robot's torso and reduced it's opacity in photoshop.

want to know who just earned my love? i think it might be YOU.

I tihnk though they get a little busy and the colors - even for the typically distopian mech settings - are a bit too dull.  you can be downtrodden without losing visual interest!

Here is my simple edit - not pixelled, but photoshopped and color-reduced :

yours Ummm....strange....should be his image...some mod want to look into this?? nevermind, problem was from my end
mine

basically made it so that the light would soften all except for the really defining lines.  A pixel-friendly version of this would be better, it blurred out some things like arm edges that you will want to preserve, but i think that the light here adds a lot of visual appeal, particularly to people who pick games up because they look sweet visually.  even games set in nuclear apocalypse usually don't have people saying, "hey did you see suchandsuch game?  that game was so DRAB i just HAD to BUY IT!!!!!!!!"

you can get a good effect too by doing this with values but leaving saturation low, and keeping some harder edges, to make it seem "gritty"

A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.
