It just says that I am unable to archive DosBox.  "Error 1: Operation not permitted".

I kind of thought about writing a paper on drunk electronics...like, how it would work, and why anyone should even bother.  I would probably call it "The Inebriation of the Electron".  And it would, of course, cover other altered states of computer-conscious....glitches, bugs, stoner computers, etc..    It would also go into a whole thing about computers creating art...like if it's possible (if every art element--line, shape, contrast, value, color, texture, etc--was converted to a variable...which is where computers shine; variables...and it was fed various facts on certain art history or lack thereof, and it was shown an object or idea to represent with an emotion/message or two, and was given its format and medium restrictions, and so on and so forth)...and just creativity presence in computers in general...But the paper would probably focus most on the comparison of the role of drugs and alcohol in a human society (leisure, exploitation, breaking social barriers, fixing ailments, 'inspiration', etc.) versus the role of inebriates in a electronic environment (circuit bending, exploitation, other software anomalies).

Heh, it's ridiculous, but it's true.  :-\

So to all you professional (as in for a living) pixel artists out there; are you having trouble finding jobs?  Cause for some reason, I am.  Things have fallen into my lap in the past, and I have received jobs through recommendation by people I've worked with online, but now jobless, I am finding it quite difficult to find anything lucrative.  I must've sent out at least a dozen emails with resume and portfolio, not to mention talked to people who I've worked for before.  But nothing.  A sudden dryness in the pixel world I suppose.  I'm afraid I'll need to move more towards 3D animation or illustration to stay afloat, since I know now there are a handfull of very talented pixel artist floating around, and they seem to get all the lucrative gigs.  And the smaller, somewhat less experienced and less skilled artists such as myself never get the light of day.

Try a mirror @ sourceforge, maybe the download zip is corrupt.

http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1

It worked perfectly on my mac (and others as well as it seems).

@ sonic

Pixels isn't as lucrative or as readily available as it used to be... as you say, 3d may be the way forward. Particularly if you want a career in Graphic development.

But don't give up on the pixel front, and certainly don't put yourself down - if you've been getting work in the past then you must have some level of talent?
