Inspired by Arachne's space-peanuts.

It's a little bit hard to see the dude, moar contrast dithering between him and the background, love the trees.

It's a bit difficult to have any higher contrast between black and white ::)

(double frames for no apparent reason.)

...I guess I could halftone the tree trunks, though...
but I don't really want to. :-X

Xion, you get what I mean. :blind: Also, I meant like the ground not the tree trunks, that stuff could be a problem, but the ground just seems to blend in with him.

I call DETH for this piece of advice, the contrast is fine. Given 2x zoom on this, the priorities and main character are all in order. Good work.

Xion, I like this, but really. Subpixel-aa does not work with just 2 colours, and it looks rather wobbly and odd.
There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.

I quite like some of the subpixel work, some of it, like his eye in the running cycle doesn't really work though-
it kinda looks like his eye (hole?) is getting bigger as it rotates towards the viewer, but then it flicks back to one pixel less

Smoothness + extreme simplicity makes such a DELICIOUS CAKE!

I think the ground is well done, but the upper half seems distracting to me. It would look more natural if you broke up the solid gray and gave the canopy a bit more depth.

As for the character, I love the design, but I think his run cycle needs a bit more vertical movement. His arms also need to move a bit more. Now it looks a bit like his upper body is walking, while his lower body is running.

I'd really like to see what sort of opponents you have in mind for him. :D

I'd like to see Beast Man, Mer-Man and Trap-Jaw too.

Sorry couldn't resist, but that really looks like Tri-Klops.  :y:
Brings back memories.
