Bear On a Unicycle,My 1-Button Mock Up!

on: August 22, 2007, 09:16:26 pm

I made this for my 1 button mock up.The background will be changed, but for now I need to work on the bear and if some of the HUD elements need edditing do so.My main focus is on the bear so please C&C before the mock up deadline.

You have to balance the bear on the unicycle If it goes into the red he falls off,the more time ticks by the harder to balance.More point are awarded for staying in the green.Pressing the button makes the bar go left and releasing it makes it go right.

I think the bear blends in too much with the background.

While he does need to stand out more, I think we need to work on color choice and just, anatomy, correct posture, etc.

First off, the bear just doesn't seem like he cares that he's juggling, he needs to pay more attention to what he's juggling, http://math.berkeley.edu/~hutching/personal/bio/juggling.jpg.

Seems your having some trouble with the legs, looked around google video a bit and found this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8867862777896510907&q=bicycle&total=24350&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=4 the first minute or so have some good showings of how the legs work in that type of situation.

Not exactly sure why that white thing is on his chest, it's not on any bear toys I've seen, any movies I've seen, any cartoon movies I've seen or any actual bears I've seen(http://www.solarnavigator.net/animal_kingdom/animal_images/Brown_bear_rearing.jpg).

PASSOUT, it should be noted that in Danik's edit he shows that a darker colour around the bear helps. However, replacing the darker brown with an almost black colour doesn't help, i would use black and the previous dark brown (perhaps darkened slightly) in order to keep a smoothness to the shading. I don't think you need to dither yet.

Im not sure about the 3rd color on the bear but, lightening up the background, changing his eye position, and changing the bear colors is what i did.
