Wow.. its been ages since i last pixeled.. Just a little w.i.p. Soon to be finnished.

-Beautiful colors. I really dig these but maybe you could d-ive into pure white in the center.

-Is the blocky center of stylistic choice or a WIP trace ? -
I hope it's just a WIP effect, such a piece requires a lot of dithering and AAing I think.

-My only real crit is that your galaxy looks more like concentric circles than a spiral which it is supposed to be.

Ya, you need to go with pure white in the middle, emphasis on the bright light is a must.
Also, right now it seems the arms are going to be boring. You should put bright stars and lights in there to break up the darkness. I can see you're putting in stars, but there should be bright ones that stand out, actually a lot of them. Make sure you smooth them out though, not just bright pixels.

just wondering why are the squares in the middle (pixels) so much more bigger then the rest or completely square? any way

Ack, it's you! This piece needs moar stars, just more crap in the bg in general, the 2nd darkest color could be a little grayer and darker.
