I design fonts and recently made one in pixel style. When it comes to actually using one in a game or art though I'm not sure what the process looks like or what types of files get used.
I made some promotional art for it in Photoshop and simply scaled my font down (from an OTF format) until it matched my pixel grid. Is this standard practice or are there more specific techniques that are used to make pixel fonts to align with pixel art?
