my first pixel art (tips for improvement)

on: April 04, 2020, 03:16:54 am
Hello, this is my first work done in pixel art, it is about Jinbe a character from the anime one piece. The truth is that I really liked making this pixel art and I would like to know what advice they would give me to improve or the mistakes I made when making this pixel art. Thank you.
ps: use google translator i am argentinian xD

I just wanted to say that for a first attempt, this is really good!

The most obvious thing I notice about the drawing is that it uses copy + paste + flip. Pixels on the right are almost all the same as those on the left. That includes the shading.

I would suggest trying this:

Pick a direction for your light-source, then shade everything so it works with the light coming from that direction.

If that is hard to understand with Google Translate, let me know.
