Looking For Examples

on: February 23, 2020, 07:17:20 pm
Hi everybody

I'd appreciate it if anyone shows me an example animation of a woman walking in a skirt. A pixel art animation would be great, but if you have another type of resource, it's still fine.

Been working on a female walk cycle who is wearing a skirt, but I don't know how to animate the skirt to make it look good and natural  ???

"Skirt" is pretty broad. There are many types of skirts, and they move differently and affect the character's motion in different ways.

Try to find videos of people wearing the type of skirt you want (or watch people IRL), so you can learn what it really looks like. Other animations can be useful for learning how to stylise certain things, but if you only learn from other art, you'll also learn the artists' mistakes.

you're gonna find that being as specific as possible will net you better results, yeah. What kind of skirt is this supposed to be, for what setting?

is it victorian-era hoop skirts, modern loungewear, some kind of high-fashion thing? there's a lot of balls in the air for such a seemingly simple question that you'll likely either get no answers at all or _too many conflicting answers_

This is the type of skirt I'm talking about. I don't know what it is called, but it's a little puffy, kinda ruffle type of skirt.

Thanks!

Yes, that seems the same type of skirt, but as I said in my first post, I'm looking for example animations or videos of a woman walking in a skirt, not still images.

Anyways, I searched more and found what I wanted. Thank you all.
