I missed this one.

In general these are good. There's a couple of things that irk me, but arguably they're stylistic rather than objective.

1: Grandma's arm becomes thinner as she breathes.
2: Some odd red pixels on the hair of the girl as she stamps her foot. Also the hair on her right side looks a touch pillow-shaded.
3: Maybe a small amount of the skirt could move as she moves her foot?
4: Some of the highlights on the red jumper of Grandma's portrait look a bit blobby. You've done such excellent work on the rest of the highlights that it seems out of place.
5: Something about the lighting on the hair of the girl's portrait seems off. The right-hand side seems too dark, and the angle makes me feel like she's lit with a strong nearby light source directly to her left.

It's nit-picky though. I think this is good work overall.

Thanks for the reply!

you made some really good points here, the weird red pixels were my attempt at doing the red angry emoji they sometimes use in anime:

i guess that didnt really translate too well :p

redid the rest of the pixels based on your tips, some solid improvements:

Those changes look great! Excellent work!

Now you've told me about the emoji, I can see what you were doing. I always thought of that symbol as meaning "angry vein popping out of forehead", so it might work better on an area of head (if available). Or if you wanted to force the issue, you could give it a solid background colour so it doesn't blend in. Creating some emoji tiles to convey character emotions may not be an awful idea depending on the game, but those sprites are very small so you could lose a lot of detail. Also, it looks like you had to rotate it by 45 degrees, which changes the meaning for me, becoming "selected" or "targeted".

(TIL it's an official Unicode character!)
