for those who have not read this wonderful book, i found it online more or less the same as the one you can purchase:

my favorite lines are "Take note that, before going any farther, I will give you the exact proportions of a man. Those of a woman I will disregard, for she does not have any set proportion. ...I will not tell you about the irrational animals, because you will never discover any system of proportion in them."
so Cennino is not exactly a genius, but it's still cool
