Some Rpg Art Work

on: July 12, 2007, 06:36:16 pm
I usually do the programming in games, but a while ago while making a rpg I tried making some tilesets but it did not end up working out because my skills in pixel art were limited. I would like as much help and critisism as possible. That is the best why to learn. I used ms paint because graphics gale was a bit new to me at that point (still is)
 But here they are.
Smelt

A Mining Rock

Castle Walls

Black Light Post

Light Blue Light Post

Barrel

Dirt Texture

Rock/dirt

grass

a horrible format for pixelart...or do you prefer to store 5mpx photos in png lmao! xd. anyway, i think:

smelt: it doesn't tead well, you didnt shade it, only coloured the fire....
mining rock: do you know anything about textures? apply it to that one...
castle walls: the interior black outline doesn't help, i would make it dark gray or so.... 2: why are you shading it roundly if they are square shaped?
your barrel: i like how you apply dithering in that icon, but the iron rings doesn't read well on the left side...
dirt/grass textures: i don't know what to say, they both look the same thing hue shifted...
dirt/rocks....:contrast...
^^
anyway...good work ^^

I've never had photobucket change my file extension from a .png to a .jpg.

It's because he uploaded BMP's, just save them as PNG's or GIF.

Oh, which is why it's never changed mine, thanks for clearing that up.
