never thought I'd see tutorials on bad art :D

that tree is SOOO REALISTIC!!!!

ok, just acting like a jerk for a moment.

dude, flamingpyroxxx, you really gotta decide what you wanna do with pixel art. if you just wanna go around changing cloths and acessories, you should look into some dolls tutorials, I really don't know of any, but I'm prettu sure there must be quite a few.

but Ive seen you tryed to do a house. but it shows that you lack some artistic background.
the house's shadow is the biggest give away. we can pretty much see that you don't know the basis of prespective drawing.

so my first sugestion would be: Draw alot. explore drawing in paper. try prespective and such, and may you way to digital art and pixel art. you'll see it compensates alot more to being good at drawing and then moving on, then to jump right into pixel art with no background knolage (specially following bad tutorials). search around this forum. you'll find all kinds of pretty nifty ones :D

take care, and dude, dont take anything I said as offensive.

Image size doesn't matter! It's what you do with your pixels that counts!

You need to realize that me and Roareye learned to do our pixel art a completely different way, on a forum not exactly art focused.  On the SSMB, the forum of the website hosting SSN, thats extremely good, and considered extremely difficult to master.  To most of them, you guys here would be considered god.  XD  Sprites and PA's are taken quite differently on Sonic forums.

Me and Roareye also have little to no hand drawing skill.  XD  Pixel art is the only thing we've found ourselves to be any good at, especially on the standards of pixel art on Sonic forums.  I'm trying alot of stuff from this website to improve my artwork, always trying to improve, isn't that what makes art so great?  It's always to improve upon yourself, your own work.

That room looks cool. The only thing that stands out to me is that on the stools the seats look like they are at a different angle to bases and it looks a little odd. Also the plates don't look quite right in certain places. I could be wrong - i'm not good enough at this stuff to be able to give sound advice but its just what stands out to me.

Wow, a pillow shading tutorial, I feel like dying.
Nice  job on the room. My main crit is that the seat of the stools and the bottom of the chairs aren't in the same perspective or something. they should have the same shape I guess is what I'm trying to say.
I.....am......me............

Believe it or not, a bunch of people find that cool.  X_X  Even more believe it or not, most of them butcher it.  XD

it's true that pixelation/pixelopolis is not based around sprite ripping/editing. There's tons of forums for that, and most of them are really scary when it comes to art quality and attitude towards learning and becoming better. We're more geared towards all-original work. However, this thread's gotten a lot of good feedback for you guys and you seem to be taking things into account, so I'll let it be. From now on, please post ALL ORIGINAL work for critique, however.
