A Calm girl in a dress

on: April 15, 2007, 12:53:28 am

Umm, I think her hair looks a bit pillowed >:{ I used the same style of shading on the hair and the clothes, I don't really think that was a good idea.

Anything wrong with it? Just tell me! :D

I like the face, but you need to refine the lines. It just looks like you grabbed a pen tool and went nuts. The shading could do with some more contrast too.

I agree, the lines need refinement, and it doesn't have enough contrast.  It's cute though, I'd love to see this really cleaned up.  The eyes have a clear light source, but the rest of it doesn't.  Keep it in mind as you add highlight and shadow, it'll help a lot.  If the yellow is supposed to be gold, you may want to try darkening it with browns and oranges, and putting in much more contrast.

quick  edit:

upped the contrast a bit, got rid of a few colors as well.
not the best edit, but it can help.

You should make very clear that this is a doll base by Shouri. I know her signature is still next to the doll, but most people here have no idea who Shouri is and assume everything was made by you from scratch.

Shouri's site: http://www.shouri.com.ar/dollz/

This particular base can be found under Bases -> Sit
