My first walk animation.

on: April 14, 2007, 06:33:00 pm
Hello everyone.

Im currently trying to develop a style that look good, is fast to draw and easy to animate. When i got the style down i will try to make a game. Anyway, this is my first walking animation, it has 4 frames and i want to know how i can improve it. In the game it will be displayed at 200%. I would also like critique on the style, does it work or is it too simple? Do you have any ideas on how i can improve it further while still keeping the simplicity?

Thanks in advance!

edit:
New palette, what do you think?

I like the older pallette better ebcause its much dirtier and grim, and you see bright colors much too often in games.
I like the walk animation. Could use some in-betweens though

i feel the simplicity really refers to games from old times, and imho thats a good thing for a pixelgame.
i prefer the brighter colours, however, i'd replace the salmon orange on the cook with the purple red of the other guys coat
