Mockup

Well, I doubt I'll have much more, if any, time to work on this before the sunday deadline. So, I'm calling it done. If somebody points out something majorly wrong with the piece I'll probably try to correct it though. CnC still welcome as I've still got much to learn and won't necessarily give up on the piece after the contest.

It looks really awesome, the floor tile is kinda dull (wip maybe) and... isn't "no isometric tiles" a rule?

That looks great dopple.  I really love the lighting.  I wish I could help you out, but I don't think I've quite reached the level of your amazing pixel talent. lol

Thanks for the comments guys.

Solid:
The floor is sitll a wip. It'll probably remain like it is with stones and other textures scattered about. Also, it's not isometric at all.  :P

Uridicy:
Thanks for the compliment, I've been meaning to comment on your latest works, hopefully I'll get to it soon.

Oh sorry! I always thought that top down view like that was some sort of isometry.

seems like a great start.

i think the entire thing needs its levels to be crushed - brighter lights and darker darks. right now it is very dull greys.

is that a wood fence, or are those wood stairs? it seems to be rather muddled to me, maybe i am just not seeing it.

Less (preferably none) mirroring would be good.
If you are going to continue with mirrored tiles, you should probably try and make the shapes less interesting, and go for a more patterned aproach.

the artwork is very good.  you have some usless tiles right now, so if there are restirctions on numbers, you'll want to get rid of them.  Also, if you are required to put both parts of a mirror on your set, i would make them unique instead of mirrored.

once it gets more full, i can edit to show how i might reduce tile count etc. if you like.  right now i dont want to touch it because it's too incomplete for me to know what you need each tile to do for you.
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.
