Great improvement on the original, its always nice to see that.

I am loving the whole picture, except I would just think that on his left leg you would not be able to see his ankle? Or am I wrong there? That's just in contrast to the right leg, is all.
Apart from that, nothing seems too wrong or out of place to me, good work!
Look for your friends, but do not trust a hope. It is forsaken these lands....

well, i made it so that the bottom of each pant leg lined up, and just drew in some ankles.  i wanted the cuffs to be a little high, so i guess i'm going to leave it like that.
anyway, thanks for all the help with this project, and now i'll go ahead and start on Tetsuo...

Are you sure this is finished? I see a lot you could do to make it better. You use 22 colors where you don't need more than 16. You had three colors that were just used for a few pixels each. If that's a sweater, why not dither it to give it a sweater texture? Your darkest shades were too close to black, both getting lost in it, and making a big jump from the darkness to the main shades, which is easy to fix. The knees were too high I think. The shoes were in a flat perspective that doesn't help this piece I feel. There's so much pixel-level aa and tweaking that would go a long way to make this much better. The colors could be made to work a bit better together, pull it closer a bit. Do you really need the black outline? In my edit I didn't use one but I don't think I'm losing any distinction or getting any blurry limbs or anything. On the pants, why not try the dithering tint thing, it gives it pleasant texture and hue variation.

latest edit:
taking pretty much all of the advice you gave, i've done a major overhaul with your edit as a reference. i'm still not done, obviously, but this was a big step forward.
i have to admit, this is the first time someone has made an edit of my work, and it was a little awkward feeling, but honestly, it made me learn to be a better pixel artist, so thanks.
oh yeah, i kept the knees a the same hight  :D

I liked your older one more. The new edit removed a lot of the contrast and personality. The new one just feels a lot more blurry and grey - his hair looks more greasy rather than shiny, and the way you removed the outline from the left arm makes it seem thinner and well, awkward.

The knees are too high in yours as Helm stated. The upperleg bone is the longest bone in the human body. Like this he looks really odd to me.
There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.

Great job man. Looks good. I agree with Helm on that one about the  sweater. A dithering can make the sweater look more sweaty :D. His left shoe is pillow shaded. It's alirhgt to leave in my opinion. You can change it if you like.
