Sidescroller Mockup

Well I've done a lot of pixel art in the top down view before, but not a lot of side scroller pixel art.  So, I made this little mock up to try it out.  I wouldn't say it's finished, but I like how it turned out.

Wow, good stuff.   The potted plants don't seem fbe in the same setting as the stonework.  It looks like a contrast or lighting issue.  The crystals don't seem to be reflecting any of that greenish light, and the pot needs more shadow on the bottom.  Is the metalic guy a character, or a statue?  If he's a statue, he stands out too much, if he's a character, he doesn't stand out enough.
