The body isn't the problem if you assume a light source from above,as the head would naturally toss a shadow unto the neck and etc.
The head, arms and legs could be shaded with a light source assumed from above the ... uhm... thing.

Also, that means you barely/don't have to change the way the body is shaded.
Also, mo' contrast is good (I learned that after about 50 million people pounded it into my head, and even now, I have problems with it.
