Site for "WIP" images

on: July 24, 2019, 04:56:55 am
What is the best website to post "work in progress" images so that they may be linked up here for discussion? You could use Pixeljoint but that's spammy, and google drive doesn't conveniently allow viewers to zoom in, it gets all blurry forcing viewers to have to download the thing. Thank thank.

i use stash for this kind of stuff.
Stash: https://sta.sh/login/?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fsta.sh%2F#
its part of https://www.deviantart.com/

its free, you get 2 GB Space which is more then enough.
only downside "recently" is that they seem to have changed server which makes the urls to images very long but thats more a nuisance then a real issue.

there is no build in zoom feature but this forum has one which works with the images...

In general, people use any image host that allows hotlinking, and then embed images in their post using img tag. When viewed inside a Pixelation page, embedded images are clickable to zoom (and ctrl-click / shift-click to unzoom, alt-click to reset to 1:1 size). Pixeljoint forum has similar feature.

Anybody has experience with lospec as image host ? From what I can see, they support hosting image without needing an account, allow hot-linking, and provide a standalone page that supports pixel-friendly zooming. (mousewheel, drag to scroll)

On pixel-friendly sites, zoom is non-blurry thanks to some CSS that is supported by most web browsers by now, but still not all.

Most people here use Imgur, a free all-purpose image hosting site. While it doesn't have a built-in zoom function, embedding an image here with [img] tags already does the trick and will work for any host as long as hotlinking is allowed since Pixelation has built-in pixel-perfect zooming. Try clicking on the image yrizoud posted to zoom in or shift-clicking to zoom out and you'll see what I mean.
To achieve mastery is not to be able to work without thinking; rather it is to have total control of one's choices.

Yeah that's what I started using, I found that answer somewhere in the "before you ask" section or something like that.
