small sprite, animations

on: March 07, 2007, 03:45:22 am

8 frames, original was 4, I wanted to make it smoother

edit: Thank you for moving this

4 frames, stabbing animation, no weapon drawn, imagine a SotN sort of thing where the weapon depends on whats equipped.

alot of frames, I messed up the animation abit, and UnFREEz can't control delay for each specific frame (can it?) but yeah.

idle

hurt (falling back, I'll add on this later)

really fucked up the hat, I don't like it much, will probably completely re-do later.

a couple (not even) half-finished mockups I threw together trying to figure out what I want to do:

Wow. Thats a lot of detail for such a small piece, and the animation looks very fluid to me. The only thing that gets me is the feet... I think it is just because of how fast they move and how far they are moving in that time... hope you get what I mean. Other then that, very nice! :y:

Thanks for the comments, I added a few more sprites and a portrait I'm not to keen of. Looks more like a marine or a soldier than what I was going for.

is the 3rd jumping?  almost all games use a fuction to jump the character up, sure, use the animation, but dont move him up into the air, the coding will do that on its own.

the rest are pretty good considering their size.

agreed on fucking up the portrait.  its very "square" looking.

good luck.
