Analigous pixel portrait

havent dithered in quite a while and wanted to get back into swing. It's for a battle with rabidbaboy on pixeltendo. thought I'd post what i have so far here on pixelation to get some tips and critisim.

You colored the lips like skin, and the actual mouth opening area you've turned into lips.

In the photo your lips are dark because they are generally a darker colour than the rest of the skin on your face, plus they are pursed and so are shadowed. In your piece you've coloured them a light colour, and therefore it looks like facepaint. I'd forget the reference and just look for some more lip pics instead. I usually go with the top lip being shadowed and the bottom in the light, although you might get an unwanted pout with that. Heheh, good luck.

I think you made the upper lip too thin though.

a few more minor edits.

Anyone have any crit on the dithering used? This is the first time I've really used any real dithering patterns besides the basic dither pattern
