WIP of the One Winged Angel

The title says it all. 

I'm sure many of you will know who the One Winged Angel is.

Any Comments and Criticism before I go into depth with this work?
Also, any suggestions on shading it, light source, texture, color changes, death threats, etc.?

make it smaller.  beyond a certain point, pixel art becomes extremely unwieldy.  this has passed this point.  Separate the wing from the body a little more, and make it known that the two are connected (i just see it standing in front of the character).  The arm appears that it might be too short for the character.  Maybe try researching feathers and wings in preparation for the final version?

I know his wings are very different from those, just stick to the structure, tweak the proportions and the individual feather shapes.

also...check your proportions, you used the wing covering the body to not think about them, but if you removed seph's wing it would turn out he has abnormaly big hips.

I think the general idea of his head peeking out from behind the wing is ok, but the rest of the pic feels uninspired, the sword, and the way he hangs it is just plain.

Revisiting this, I feel you're right Camus. It does feel uninspired.
So I'll tear it apart and start over.
 

Inspiration is not to be overlooked.
Also, I should probably try to actually use a scanned image, since large works using purely pixels is awkward for me.
