It's really awsome!
The style used in the mockup would make a kickass fighting game.
But I think you should remove the black out line and add a colored one.

I don't know what this stigma is against the "Black Line" ? IMHO It sometimes suits a piece better. People are being brainwashed into believing that the Black line should be cast into the darkest depth of pixel hell. I am not saying that this is the perfect piece for keeping th eblack line since I haven't seen the alternative but I do believe that it gives the piece a certain charm that a color line just sometimes can't do.

Anyway, WoW! Love the piece! I just want to press buttons to make the little guy pulverize the HUGE one.

Nice to see some small sprites from SplatPixel, i only remeber seeing large pieces.

Anyway, the large guy looks great, no crits there.

When the little guy is extending his arm it looks very odd. I know its a style choice but i dont think it works on his arm. It looks blocky and is distracting.
Some more contrast on the little guys clothes and some more interesting colours and it would be even better!

The black outlines look fine on this sprite, no need to change them in my opinion.

I love the design.. whenever I see great small sprites like this, I want to see them move. Any plans to animate?

Maybe there's a middle ground between the black outline and no outline that would work.. because I prefer the outline, but I think it's too harsh. That said, though, it might look nice against a background.

tout donné en vrac et en détail
quand on a crié sur tous les toîts pleuré et ris dans les villes et en campagne

ya, I dig the black outline on these ones...it brings the style together.  Sort of like how Capcom's Bengus artist guy will sometimes throw a big thick black outline around his character portraits...sometimes it's just a style thing.
