Pixelator Entry

Yes, you have probably seen it:

Since Helm, Snader and Ryumaru were all positively surpised by my entry, I think it will be a good experience to push it further.
I might make it somewhat bigger, add a back ground, add bigger legs for certain, and some more detail. All other pixel art
I'm working on currently will be on-hold till I get this done, since I think this could give me experience I do not want to miss out on.
Any comment is apreciated.

You have some lightning issues and it needs more contrast.

The palette is good but you need to put it into better use at some places.
I've noticed that you tend to break lines although your palette has a nice transition colour for those cases.

I think for the tail to look more correct, it should be placed a little farther to the left and downwards. Also, maybe some more shading at the base would help it fall into the background more, since the piece uses such a perspective.
