Creature

on: February 05, 2007, 05:19:50 am

My friend made the creature concept and I pixeled it, it's not ace so that's why I'm looking for C+C please.

Thanks.

He looks cool. No crits so far, great job making the pixel version of the concept.

Your technique is nice and it's well-sprited, but I have no idea what it is. I can't distinguish the body parts by function, it really looks like a number of green bits and a brown bit rather than a creature.

i agree with Kame.

needs more dark areas to distinguish what each part is.

Looks to me like a cat-like creature curled up upon a brown ball/nut. I like it, the things coming out of it's head however, don't seem to mix well with the rest, as it's not fully outlined, and there's not selout..

Good stuff.

I've tried to highlight the arms and legs and I dulled the color of the sprout from its head.

Any improvement?

heres a slight suggestion..

added a shadow, defined the rock more and altered the AA so as the linework doesn't seem so thick. hope this helps.
I've not got anything interesting to type here..

Anyway, it does sorta look like a pokemon. Like a plant baby seal or something. Still, I too am a bit confused by what its legs and stuff are. The leaf thing on top is cool, but it might look cooler if it were an actual leaf instead of...a...scythe?
And the creature doesn't really look like it's sitting on the rock so much as hovering above it. It doesn't cast a shadow, nor do its limbs imply that it's not necessarily on a flat surface.

Cool though.

Also, you might try curling his butt in a bit. He's hanging off the edge quite a bit on the right side of the pic. Don't worry, I won't rape you. Hey, delop, i herd u liek mudkip.
