Mock-up (Again...Ugh)

Yeah, I'm back (Doubt you noiticed i was gone) :P

I think i have gotten a bit better at pixel art, this is the only reason im posting this :)

The background doesn't really blend in.
The colours are dull.

But on a good note: I see vast improvement. I see your working hard on textures. I cannot give no critique on textures though.

Ok, I will brighten the colours up a tad  :)

Thank you for saying I have vastly improved (Watever vastly means :D)

EDIT: Brightened Colours on the tiles :-\

What's going on with the blue in the tiles? Make it clearer so the viewer can tell.

You would have a way nicer background if you used more than just 50% dither to blend. Spriteart has a good dither tutorial if you need one, or you could open MS paint in 1-bit mode and look at the palette swatches for ditherpatterns.

The dirt could use to be more brown and dirty looking than the yellow it is now, or if it's sand it could use less grass and more cunes with liffle tufts of plant life.

Hi,

The main problem is your colors are selected to close to one another add variation. Noticeable differences in pixel art is required to make your piece stand out and be awesome.

I did this literally in a couple of minutes so its sloppy yeah but I think you can learn of the changes. Your original pallet is in the corner the changes colors are on the pic.



I did a paint over "Sloppy" on the island in the top left to give you some ideas.
