[WIP] Big fire

I'm working on this thing i finally got the fire a bit right
but now i cant get the char to good look with the lightsource in front of him  :'( so i need some help please.

If it's at night, then the character should be a simple silhouette for there is no light behind him.

I tried it but it look verry weird and ugly :'(
i darkened him a bit

The picture still implies that there is a dim light source behind him.  Take all the distinguishable features and turn him into a shadow.

It might be helpful to study this old "Pic of the month" on a cover disk of Amiga Format #25 by "Opus". Campfire as a light source is of course not as sharp and bright as sun, but a fire that big is still bound to create a halo ( and wisps of smoke and sparkles) around itself, illuminating the surroundings also. Building a pixel halo is a hell of a task, but will look impressive.
