F&#@!!!

Starting over for the 3rd time now. First one was focusing on the background too much; second one was a remake of the first, but was poorly executed; third one was bland and uninspired. I'm trying really really hard to go for 10,000 pixels and 32 colors of pure epic, but my execution still isn't up to my intention.

So, I know we can't post in forums, but what about presenting it to an individual for help? Like if I were to want to show it to someone on MSN and ask "Do the colors seem too desaturated?" Would that be in bounds of the rules?

Maybe I'll just walk around and come back to my entry later to see how I could fix it :-\

I think B.O.B. summed that up nicely:
I don't think you are allowed to post on any other forums for help. If caught, then you are officially disqualified. This should specifically be a one man deal. However, if you can find a person on aims, or some other chat program, who is willing to keep his critiques hush, hush, and not spill the beans to any of the officials or competitors, well by all means. Fair is fair, until you are caught with your pants down, if you know what I mean. ;)
thanks Dogmeat!

My confidence in my piece is quite low. The colors are pretty generic, there's only one ramp (did the whole thing in greyscale first), but I'm completely sick of working on it and 'm gonna send it in... soon... :durr:

Some great pixel artists need to die so I can summon them to help me. Or something.

Pshh! My panties don't bunch. I wear thongs. Leopard print...represent, son, represent.

And I think I 've chosen my fav' of the bunch I have already. I'll send it in, either Friday, or Saturday, given the time.

Now how am i supposed to track your msn conversations. ;)
Just as long as its not to someone who is competing or judging
by posting at a forum, its easy to catch the cheating.
I dont want to be able to see any cheating or help given.

...i hope that no-answer, answered your question

Yeah, it answered it well enough. I'm just a strict believer in the honor system, so I wasn't sure if you would care or not about seeking out individuals that aren't taking any part in the competition for a little help. Don't ask, don't tell, that works for me.
