7 gates. I have trouble with casual game.

It's game analogue the "lines", but with some bonus and blocks. Java game. Temporary name - 7 gates.
My trouble is chest with snakes



His action: when player click, he is crush and snakes, which be found inside, scramble out and eat some tiles on game field.
I don't see another variotion for this tiles, and that variant me very not like (it's a #**@) my brain is melt.... hehh (((
Maybe anyway help for this, just idea or think and also critic.

To gain a better understanding, i am put this screenshot from this game.
Orange elements it's UI world.



Also i glad listen thinks and critics for design this game.

Funnily...  :crazy: I don't contrive the chest with snakes, but paint another tile - star and fix chest
star - bonus, which you gather 3 in line, you score a double.

These are very good. I especially like the treasure chest.

What is your problem with the snakes? Can you post a work in progress for the snake animation, maybe then we can help. The snake urn looks fine so far.

What is your problem with the snakes? Can you post a work in progress for the snake animation, maybe then we can help. The snake urn looks fine so far.

I think my trouble with this urn, namely how she paint, i inclined to paint this as treasure chest in 3d dimensions... And she is paint is not nice, maybe need texture (sennit)...
Of course, i put later animation for this.

antialiasing  :( yes he needed, i hope i can update this.

And sketch for animation snakes. 4 frame - I think thats will be enough.

This stripe off snake will be move in right and other direction (down, left, right)
I paint also another stripe for diagonal directions (45 deg.)
Also urn i paint in 3d dimensions as the sketches (as tresure chest).
And when click on urn - she will be destroyed and snakes become out in 8 direction (vertical, gorizontal, diagonal)

The snake might fit into the tile better if you model its movement after a sidewinder. Here's a video of one.

looks awesome.  although i'd say snakes are slower and more fluid-like.  this one looks like a sperm.

Since the snakes seem to be an important part of the game, i would suggest that you color them brightly. try some yellow and red and make them obvious. if you colored them green i think they'd blend in too much.

Thanks! About color not exactly, because snake mainly must creep on box and they is yellow-brownish range... and she is be green with black ))) See some image below.

At last, I am finish one animation of snake, i hope.... ;) And paint tile basket for snake - it's my headache ))


This it's a without other tile, just view move snake forward.


Also you may see this move on field with other sprites


Yes, we cann't see her entirely, but snake must creep under other tile, differently it's look bad, not some realistic.

Paint animation snake for diagonal direction


Also fix thicket, added more depth.



Now i think for variation of poisonous frog, rather thoughts of his color... Have things about this?

snake looks pretty good, but I think his head should swivel a lot less and progress more and more to the end of his.. tail, also I think his head shouldnt always stay parallel to the direction he's moving

Thank you )) The snakes has different move, i see some videos on this post and this move copy from sidewinder, but sliding forward. Her head move too.

Animate some tiles. This animation play when you roll over kursor. It's must simple animation, no more 4 frames...

They were all moving in the same speed and that wasn't working for some of them. There are some nice programs out there wich give you the possebility to descide the speed for each frame, like GIF Movie Gear.

About frog - maybe it's right choose... You compel me to think about this.

did some quick edits on your animations.

And for animation. It's look better, maybe I talk with programmers about change speed for each animation. Now they do 4 frame for each tile and constant speed. I think it's need to change.

I am cann't do animation with regulable timing and added more frames for this game, unfortunately....
And more similar animation, if anybody intresting


Also elements with message ("no more movies" or "level up")

Maybe just make the edges on stones sharper.
Of course nice round edgeless stones exist as well,but  it just reads  like something else.=)


Big leaves could handle a more interesting texture than just boring dithering. =)

Yeeeesss! You right )) about stone, of course i am rewamp for this and it's image paint on faster hand - absence texture on big leaves not like me too.
