I'm a little confused... Either you made it or you didn't make it. Which is it?  ???

I guess he/she "made" the picture (pixel it) but didn't "make" it in the competition (as in didn't manage to win or participate)
But enough of it.

As for the picture, I think you still need to learn about colors, lighting and textures.
The palette you are using has colors that are too close with each other (esp. the grays). Try playing with hues and reflections and different lights to bring a more interesting result.
Ideally you should be looking at some metal references (like metal pipes etc, not as in the music genre) as your robot lacks the texture of it, and at the same time you would learn how light affects it.
Good luck with further edits and so on.

few crits

-spray can bg is a no-no, i would just use transparency if i was you.
- the hair is a bit to thin, and needs some thickening up and texture.
- to make this look a bit more realistic, perhaps change the black outlines to a darker shade of the inner color?
- fix his eye, it looks awkward.
- adding more contrast to the colors would be nice.  i would defiantly use some darker shades.

anyway, this is a really nice piece, but with a few tweaks, could be a bit nicer.

who knocked you out anyway?  i don't remmember.

(also, next botp, maby you should post your work before you submit it, this way you can improve it  ;) :P
)
untz untz untz?

i was beaten by Faelenhof (grats to him ;D)
and i've never been good at shading metal :( and bg was just a quick thing.
i normally dont use outlines but i just wanted to try again.
