Can't see the wall.

Are you using an image hoster?

You're hotlinking to attachments on yoyogames forum. Only people with an account there can see the images.

Nope.
You should upload your picture on an image hosting service, such as Imgur or Trello.
Then get the direct link to the image (should end with /something.png), and put it between [ img ] tags, like this:

Code: [Select]

Right now your colors ramp is very linear : for the brown wall for example, you progressively darken the shade of your main color.
It doesn't look bad, but you can make it more interesting to the eye by using hue-shifting (look up some tutorials, hue-shifting is basically when you change the hue (color value) of your main color towards another color).

I shifted the darker shades of your first wall towards purple, and those of your third wall towards green, so it looks less monochromatic.

(Sorry about the crappy explanation, tell me if you didn't understand anything I wrote haha)

Wow that's made such a difference thanks. I've tried hue shifting but I just can't seem to get it right.
Could you help me with a grey ramp and whiteish ramp please? They are the ones I have the most trouble creating something pleasing.

Not totally sure what you mean, but I tried building a "whiteish" palette and two other palettes in which the neutral shade is pure gray.

I put the palettes next to each wall, to show you better: for white-based palettes, I never actually use white, but I use cream or desaturated blueish colors. For gray-based palettes, you can go berzerk and choose whatever hue you want it to shift to: here I created a greenish one and a purplish one.

Is this what you asked for ? ^^
