I call bullshit on the social experiment; seems to me you just did it for kicks and giggles.
Anyway, I for one still don't like the pants. They really dominate the piece.

Any suggestions on how to fix that? Less saturated colours or something?

How will make that stand them out less, exactly?

i had to resist the temptation to jpeg this for fun : P
point taken.

T'm not sure. But the shadows are pretty big on the pants, compared to the rest of the piece.

also, what is the right shoulder pad connected to?

update:

-added a strap for the back shoulder, as it wasn't connected to anything

-fixed up the top spike for the halberd

-tried making the shadow on the lizardman's skin darker, to compensate for the shadow on the pants being that much stronger.

Don't really understand the experiment, but the art looks great. The only thing I can really comment on is the pose of the beast. I'm just wondering why the Tail looks as if it's fused the left side of his leg. Maybe try adding a little dynamic curve to the tail to give the viewer a better sense of the pose. Right fingers could also use a wee bit of work also. Loving the coloring of the halberd and wrist guards, though...
my back hurts...

I think the red ones looked better than the blue.

Also neo, check with me before you post work for the game >;o

Also ill say it here as you will probably listen if its posted, i think the axe weapon has a sketchy feel at the top. Seems unfinished compared to the rest of the lizard.

I enjoyed the social experiment very much  :)  I like the red pants marginally better than the blue ones, and much better than the black.

The handle of the halberd seems thin for his beefy hands, I think?

The bit of leather strap under his chin doesn't seem to connect with the strap on his left shoulder. In fact, the leather under his chin just seems to disappear.

Also I am looking at the texturing on the pants on his right leg, and wondering...is his bottom exposed? It appears that way. (Maybe it's supposed to be his tail? It looks like the pants just fade and become skin)

Beautiful work :) The face on the halberd is my favorite part, along with the wristguards.

Indeed...his rear does seem to be exposed...how are those pants supposed to be working?

Ditto on the spear handle.

The pinky on his right hand seems a bit strange as well.
