Vector Art Program Question

I'm looking for a vector art program that can export animations as sprites (transparencies with alpha channel). I was told Flash can do this, but the alpha is tricky. Does anyone know anything about this, or have recommendations for another program?

I personally use Flash for this type of task.  It even has a nice vector pixel tool for drawing.  What exactly are you looking to do?  I can maybe give you a walk-through of how I would do it.
