[WIP]Some sort of fighting sprite?

on: September 26, 2005, 12:44:43 am

I got started on the left arm so far. Supposed to be some croc anthro. In a ripped fursuit. Huh. I'm weird.

I can't get the smile right.

13 colors so far.

So, C+C pless.

lol, interesting combination. I'd suggest keep the front end of the mouth tighter, so the grin starts midway up, so you can more easily get a smirk that way. Cmon, shade some  more! I want to see how this turns out. Proportions seem fine, though you could maybe work on your curves... fix his left foot so it's level with the ground..

M'yes. I didn't do much work on it before I posted it. I have a lot of homework to do and I just wanted to get this out.

I fixed the foot and shaded more. I still need to fix the legs.

don't forget the textured skin.  should the mouth be slightly longer? the shorts look a bit flat,  not because they are not shaded, but it is more to do with the contour lines flattening them.  some detailing on the glove at the wrist (folds, seam, something) would look good.  keep working, more c&c can then be made. the outlining on the shirt/singlet is not necessary like that i think, it makes it look undefined.  looks great so far, has the making of a great piece.

oh, niceness. i'm glad you decided to pixel more again, and i gotta say that the time you spent off studying more general stuff about art definitely payed off.
a few crits: the folds of the shirt seem a bit wobbly to me and the shirt is really really bright and clean. depends on wether you insist on him to have pure white-blueish hair and claws or if a slight darkening and tinting is acceptable (or you could add some more colors, although i wouldn't). except for that almost sterile blue-tinted white there i really love the pallette though, like the green tinge and i also like what you did with the shading on the knuckle of his indexfinger, it makes for a really nice effect.
also, glad that you dropped the bunny ears :)
