POW POW!

It's Mr. Bruce Lee, in tribute to thee ol' Pixelation.
It's pretty messy, but I'm proud of it  :).

(oh, and I only used 14 of the 16, so...)

Um, yeah...Years of good, bad, and ugly art posts; server crashes; board wipes; chaning faces; drama; war; love; death; sex; murder; and oh so many hehs.

Does anyone still have that girl Tsu drew who used to be on the side bar? (I think that's where it was) I can't remember if it was on Pixelation or GDR, but I'd like to remake it using this palette.

Crate, "folded and unfolded." I messed with perspective but I don't know if I got it right and the horizon may be in the wrong place.

Nice head, Kren.

And that perspective on the crate is kickass, MoD. Though I'd make the middle line up, and the last one at the back more narrow in length (not width).

Oh, and I totally love the guy you made, Gliding. He looks cool, charming, and adorable! I really like his outfit. Very sharp.
The head kinda reminds me of Krillin, which is cool.  ;)

...Also, I am easily tired of "girl + gun + mecha - underwear" type of artwork...

Well there ya go buddy. *wink*

[edit for critiques]

Checkworth
I like the mood. I suggest you utilize the palette more to separate the character and the background. A bright character on a dark background, or the opposite. Outlines are another option, but I think that piece works best without them.

Ryumaru & Skurwy
Finish! Why on god's green earth would any sane person not finish a beautiful piece like that?

Ryona
Love the pose and character. She seems to be suffering a bit from tentacle hair like the kunoichi did.

Kren
Don't be afraid to throw in colors into the skin tones other than the obvious yellows and oranges. A lot of the time the value of a color takes precedence over the actual hue, allowing a lot of room for experimentation

MoD
The bottom box looks okay, but the perspective lines on the top box seem to be meeting at a point somewhere above the horizon, which may explain some wonkyness in it's appearance.

gliding
I'd suggest you figure out what the pants are made of. If they are something shiny like leather, then make it clear that they are shiny with thin bright specular highlights. If they are made of something non-reflective, then block out the shades and avoid anything that looks like a sheen. The head and arms, for instance, clearly communicate the surface of the skin. The pants on the other hand, leave me scratching my head.

Whoa!

Aside from the obvious drop-dead sexyness of the chick, this is one VERY well done piece of pixel work! I'm greatly impressed! It's so beautifuly designed. Gorgeous artwork, pkmays.

You top dogs make me so envious!

very cool helm and pkmays, just one thing helm; your girl has that style that screams of an american cartoon, it really just comes down to the hair, the size of the breasts and how far apart they are in this case :P

she actually kinda reminds me of... april from the ninja turtles cartoon.

anywho, this is a great topic, lots of good stuff here

As I mentioned, this is Mashamune Shirow style mostly... not really western.

http://www.motorballer.org/images/shirow/poster/gh02c.jpg

http://www.motorballer.org/images/shirow/poster/gh04c.jpg

so on... It's not really how I usually draw women (or breasts) but I thought it a self-imposed challenge since pkmays quipped about my 'girls, guns, anime' comment. April's a good, but not intentional, likeness however.

Although the comment Re: her breasts might not be the most valid it still looks a bit western to me. I think its her face- she kind of looks like a girl from those archie comics; quite lovely, though.
