Point and laugh.

on: November 30, 2006, 03:46:42 am
Okay so I got bored, and I saw some of Blick and AlienQuark's work.
And decided to try at a new piece.

It's so odd and wrong in so many places.
Might as well try and see what I can do to fix it. D:

His arms are longer than his body.

Yeah I'm not going to lie.
I was(am) fairly baked at the moment.

So the arms ended up long and I just kept going with it..

pretty strange but nice lol
i think change the hat color to a lil less darker coz it is clashing with the hair and giving it a strange look

I don't think the size of the arms really hinders the piece.  I do feel that the shading on his right arm could use some work; seems like too much highlights in some places, and not enough in others, but that could just be me.

The black and pink contrast nice, and the face looks keen to me.

My biggest concern his is left arm; by the way it's placed, he'd be floating in the air (which maybe you did on purpose  :P ).  But if he's supposed to be on level ground, I'd make his left arm resting on it, rather than going through it.

Pretty awesome pic so far though.
Keep pixelling, and carefull with baking all that cake  ;)

im finding that lately, some of your posts include "im baked" "i was baked" etc....smoking pot is your own prerogative and should be left out of posts in my opinion. This board does have younger kids on it, but i just see no need for you to speak up about your drug endeavours when it comes to critique and such. if you are trying to make it known that you are now a pot head, and look cool amongst the pixel crew....you are doing a worse job than you initially thought, because you are just making yourself look like a fool.

overall, the character is rather...dull. im getting tired of these little punker dudes, with the hats and stuff...try something new.

Thank you for the truth clr, I understand that I need to take this forum maturely.
I will be sure to take the responsibility to insure that I don't make that mistake again.

Now on with pixeling.

Rydin: I will see what I can do towards fixing the shading up.
I think I see what you're trying to get at about the shading on the arms.

clr: I've been having artists block for about 2 months.
I'm really working on expanding my art but I just can't get anything to look right.
I've lost the fun of drawing because of my mistakes of using one character.
A plain character at that.

All I can hope for is that I can break from this inspiration block.
