I did some Pixel - Scene

on: May 08, 2018, 03:23:32 am

I spent a few days (hours) on this, and just kept trying to improve on it. I could use help figuring out the fire reflectins.

Instead of purple ligt on the character, from the fire, you should have more of a yellow-ish color. Then it will be more readable that its a fire

(But im not a expert, just a though)

I'd actually recommend an orange, complementary you see.

as for the reflection, start with the water ripples then add the lighting from the Torch as highlights on the peaks of the ripple and midtones on the valleys, so to speak. fullbright colors, with way desaturated version for those peaks.

Is your character seen from the front ? If not, then his camera-left hand should be facing the other way too. If he is, then I don't understand his camera-right hand, why is it in his back ?
Half a noob figuring out stuff.
